M2-Tone Forte Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effectss

M2-Tone Forte Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharma Pvt. Ltd. It is the non-invasive, non-hormonal approach to menorrhagia and metrorrhagia.

Indication

Menorrhagia,
metrorrhagia & dysfunctional uterine bleeding – Associated with IUCD insertion.
As a result of mental stress & anxiety.
Associated with hormonal changes in peri-menopausal age group.
As a result of various diseases like PCOS & endometriosis.

Dosage

General – 5 ml twice a day. Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Each 5 ml of syrup contains extracts of –
Asoka – Saraca indica – 1800 mg – It is an important Ayurvedic herb used mainly in bleeding gynecological conditions.
Shatavari – Buttermilk root – Asparagus racemosus – 100 mg – useful in bleeding disorders such as nasal bleeding, menorrhagia, rectal bleeding etc. Dashamoola – 100 mg
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa – 50 mg – It is extensively used in female gynaecological disorders like heavy periods, white discharge (leucorrhoea) etc.
Amalaki – Gooseberry – Embelica officinalis – 50 mg
Vibhitaki – Baheda – Terminalia bellerica – 50 mg
Kamala – Lotus – Nelumbium speciosum – 50 mg
Devadaru – Himalayan cedar – Cedrus deodara – 50 mg – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Nagakeshara – Cobra’s Saffron – Mesua ferrea – 25 mg
Jatamamsi – Spikenard – Nardostachys jatamansi – 25 mg – It is a famous Ayurvedic herb used in neuro-psychiatric diseases.
Shalmali – Silk cotton tree – Bombax malabaricum – 25 mg – Relieves bleeding disorders.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 25 mg
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 25 mg
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum – 25 mg – It cleanses and detoxifies uterus. 
Syrupy base – q.s.

Side effects, Do’s, Don’ts of M2-Tone Forte Syrup

Side effects
There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.             
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given. 

Do’s
Prefer wheat, milk & fruits. Exercise & yoga. Weight reduction.

Don’ts
Avoid hot & spicy food recipes and alcohol. Avoid vegetable like potato & brinjal. Avoid day time sleeping. Avoid smoking. Avoid too much mental & physical exertion.

Habit forming

Is this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a few months of usage?
This medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it does not cause any ill effects.
