Livomyn Drops is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharma Pvt. Ltd. It is a pediatric preparation to protect liver.
Livomyn provides support for hepatic detoxification and integrity of liver cells. Livomyn contains hepato-protective herbs which are time tested and well documented to maintain liver function and digestion.
Indication of Livomyn Drops
Anorexia
Malnutrition
Delayed milestones
Hepatic congestion
Hepatitis with or without jaundice
Fatty infiltration of liver
Prophylaxis against drug-induced hepato-toxicity,
analgesics,
anti-epileptics.
Dosage
Children – 10 – 20 drops 3 – 4 times a day.
Infants – 5 – 10 drops 3 – 4 times a day. Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kiratatikta – Swertia chirata – 100 mg
Daruharidra – Indian berberi – Berberis aristata – 100 mg
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 100 mg – It increases digestion power.
Kalamegha – Andrographis paniculata – 100 mg – It stimulates liver. Kasamarda – Coffee senna – Cassia occidentalis – 100 mg – It induces mobility, causes diarrhea, purgation, relieves constipation.
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa – 100 mg – It acts as a potent liver stimulant. Sharapunkha – Tephrosia purpurea – 100 mg – It is a famous Ayurvedic herb used in liver cirrhosis and splenomegaly.
Vasaka – Malabar nut – Adhatoda vasica – 100 mg – useful in jaundice and liver disorders.
Bhumyamalaki – Phyllanthus niruri – 50 mg – It is an important liver protecting Ayurvedic herb.
Chitrakamoola – Leadwort – Plumbago zeylanica – 50 mg – It improves digestion power.
Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – 50 mg
Kakamachi – Black night shade – Solanum nigrum – 50 mg – It has hepato-protective action.
Kasni – Cichorium intybus – 50 mg – It has anti-bacterial and hepato-protective activities.
Nishothara – Trivrit – Operculina turpethum – 50 mg
Pitpapra – Parpata – Fumaria officinalis – 50 mg – It relieves anorexia, vomiting etc.
Punarnava – Boerhavia diffusa – 50 mg
Rohitaka – Tecomella undulata – 50 mg – Useful in liver disorders.
Ajamoda – Ptychotis ajowan – 25 mg
Indrayava – Kutaja seeds – Holarrhena antidysenterica – 25 mg – It balances all the three Doshas
Latakaranja – Fever nut – Caesalpinia crista – 25 mg
Laghupatha – Cyclea peltata – 25 mg – It has diuretic activity.
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 25 mg – It improves digestion power. Saptarangi – Salacia reticulata – 25 mg – It has anti-hyperlipidemic and anti-obesity activities.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 25 mg – Useful in anemia, early stage of liver disorders.
Tulasi – Holy basil – Ocimum sanctum – 25 mg
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 25 mg – Experimental evaluation in efficacy against dyslipidemia was done.
Flavoured syrupy base – q.s.
Side effects of Livomyn Drops
There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
This product can be safely used in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
