Livact Capsule: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Pentacare Ayur Pharma. It is the herbal hepato-protective used in the treatment of liver disorders.

Dosage

1 – 2 capsules twice or thrice a day,
or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Each 500 mg capsule contains –
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa – 500 mg – Useful in restoration of liver functions after alcohol toxicity.
Sharapunkha – Tephrosia purpurea – 500 mg – useful in liver diseases, hepatitis, cirrhosis.
Arjuna – Terminalia arjuna – 500 mg – It reduces fat and cholesterol levels. Ajamoda – Ptychotis ajowan – 750 mg – It increases digestion strength. Kiratatikta – Swertia chirata – 750 mg – It is widely used in the treatment of liver disorders.
Aragwadha – Cassia fistula – 500 mg – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Karanja twak – Indian beech – Pongamia glabra – 500 mg – useful in skin diseases.
Bhumyamalaki – Phyllanthus niruri – 700 mg – It is used for the treatment of fever, inflammation of spleen and liver, fractures, fever, jaundice and skin diseases. 
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 200 mg – It relieves inflammation, swelling, pain, improves skin complexion, cleanses and heals wounds. Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 350 mg
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 350 mg – Useful in treatment of jaundice and related diseases of liver and skin diseases.
Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – 250 mg

Side effects of Livact capsule

There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.                 
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy. This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
