Kofnil Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Dhanwantri Herbals Ltd. It is a Honey enriched cough relieving formula fortified with Tulsi & Yastimadhu.

Dosage
Adults – 2 – 3 tsp 3 – 4 times a day.
Children – 1 – 2 tsp 3 times a day.
Infants – ½ tsp 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
Ingredients
Each 5 ml of syrup contains –
Banafsa – Viola odorata – 100 mg – Useful in asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Bharangi – Blue glory – Clerodendrum serratum – 100 mg – Acts as mucolytic, breaks down mucus and eases it out of lungs.
Gojihva – Onosma bracteatum – 100 mg – It has anti-bacterial and anti-microbial activities.
Hamsaraja – Adiantum lunulatum – 100 mg – It has anti-bacterial action.
Katphala – Bayberry – Myrica nagi – 100 mg – useful in asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Karkatashringi – Pistacia integerrima – 100 mg
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum – 100 mg – used widely in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma and such other respiratory tract conditions.
Shleshmanthaka – Cordia dichotoma – 100 mg – used for the treatment of cough, asthma, skin diseases, fever etc.
Unnava – Badara – Ziziphus mauritiana – 100 mg
Tulasi – Holy basil – Ocimum sanctum – 100 mg – Balances Kapha dosha, useful to relieve excess sputum production.
Vasa – Malabar nut – Adathoda vasica – 100 mg – It has anti-tussive, anti-inflammatory and broncho-dilatory properties.
Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 100 mg – Good expectorant, expels phlegm from the lungs and relieves respiratory diseases.
Pudinasatva – Mentha piperita – 2 mg
Tailaparni taila – Nilgiri oil – Eucalyptus globulus – 1 mg

Side effects of Kofnil Syrup
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
