Kashar Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Dhanwantri Herbals. It is used in the treatment of respiratory disorders.

Dosage
1 – 2 tsp thrice a day with warm water.
or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Each 5 ml of syrup contains –
Vasa – Malabar nut – Adathoda vasica – 200 mg – It has anti-inflammatory, anti-tussive and broncho-dilatory properties.
Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 200 mg – Good expectorant, expells phlegm from the lungs and heals respiratory diseases.
Lasoda – Shleshmanthaka – Cordia dichotoma – 200 mg
Dhattura – Thorn apple – Datura metel – 100 mg – It has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Banafsa – Viola odorata – 50 mg
Badara – Chinee apple – Ziziphus mauritiana – 50 mg
Hamsapadi – Adiantum lunulatum – 100 mg – It has anti-bacterial activity.
Gojihva – Onosma bracteatum – 100 mg – Useful in asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Katphala – Bayberry – Myrica nagi – 100 mg
Tulasi – Holy basil – Ocimum sanctum – 100 mg – Balances Kapha dosha, useful to relieve excess sputum production.
Draksha – Grapes – Vitis vinifera – 100 mg – Useful in asthma, respiratory disorders involving difficulty in breathing.
Yavasa – Alhagi camelorum – 100 mg – relieves cough, cold.
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum – 100 mg – used widely in the treatment of cough, cold, asthma and such other respiratory tract conditions.
Karkatashringi – Pistacia integerrima – 100 mg – useful in chronic respiratory disorders.
Somalatha – Ephedra gerardiana – 100 mg – Useful in asthma and chronic respiratory disorders.
Bharangi – Clerodendrum serratum – 100 mg – used in treating allergic rhinitis, asthma, fever and other inflammatory conditions.
Navasadara – Amonnium chloride – 100 mg
Tankana – Borax – 100 mg – It is used in the treatment of productive cough, bronchitis, wheezing, asthma, chest congestion.
Pudina – Mentha piperita – 2 mg – It has anti-bacterial action.
Sugar – q.s.
Side effects of Kashar Syrup
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
