Strainwin Capsule Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Strainwin Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Ayurwin Capsule Company. It is mainly used in the treatment of Anxiety neurosis, Insomnia diseases.

Strainwin Capsule Indication

Anxiety neurosis,
Insomnia,
Tension,
Stress syndrome,
Mental fatigue,
Agitation,
Depression,
Headache,
Nervousness,
Loss of memory,
Hypertension,
Epilepsy,
mental retardation,
menopausal disturbances and premenstrual tension.

Dosage

1 capsule three times a day or as directed by the physician.

How long to take?
This medicine can be taken for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 40 mg – It act as a antidepressant.
Jatamansi – Nardostachys jatamansi – 30 mg – It counteracts the effect of mental stress and anxiety disorder by its tranquillizing action.
Brahmi – Bacopa monnieri  – 30 mg- It is known to rejuvenate the mind.
Tagara – Valeriana wallichii – 30 mg
Jyothishmati – Celastrus paniculatus Willd – 20 mg – It has a neuroprotective activity.
Arjuna – Terminalia arjuna – 40 mg – Arjunolic acid has a neuroprotective action.
Yashtimadhu – Glycyrrhiza glabra Linn – 20 mg – It has a anxiolytic activity.
Shankapushpi – Convolvulus pluricaulis – 20 mg -It is one among Nootropic herbs.
Bhrungaraj – Eclipta prostrata – 20 mg
Tulasi – Ocimum tenuiflorum – 20 mg
Vacha – Acrous calamus Linn – 20 mg – It has a tranquilising action.
Sarpagandha – Rauvolfia serpentina – 30 mg – It has a sedative or tranquilizing action.
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 10 mg
Ginger – Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 10 mg
Long pepper – Pippali – Piper Longum – 10 mg
Ela – Elettaria cardamomum – 20 mg

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Strainwin Capsule Side effects

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It is usually prescribed in a lower dose during lactation and in children.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.

Diet To Follow

Have more of Ghee, coconut oil, Sunflower seed, almond, taro root, flaxseed oil, soyabean, pistachio,
Broccoli, carrots, chard, nuts, papaya, pumpkin, red peppers
Flax seeds, walnut, tofu, brussel sprout, cauliflower, winter squash, fish oil, egg oil, krill oil, chia seeds, camelia are fine to take.

Diet To avoid:
There are no diet restrictions. Please avoid all types of junk foods, excessive non veg foods, try to avoid or limit alcohol and smoking. Avoid aerated drinks.
Please prefer homemade food wherever possible.

Habit forming

Is this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a few months of usage?
This medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it does not cause any ill effects.
