Lama Vedikasava syrup Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Lama Vedikasava syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Lama Pharmaceuticals. It is mainly used in general debility, improves vigour and provide nourishment.

Indications and dose

Lama Vedikasava syrup Uses:

Dosage: 3-6 teaspoonful (15-30 ml) after meals with equal water twice daily or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Storage and duration

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, Protect from direct sunlight.

How long to take?
This medicine can be taken for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.

Munaka – Vitis vinifera – Grapes 1.4 grams – Extensively  used to relieve fatigue, thirst, provides nourishment, easy the bowel movements.
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 0.117 grams
Bidhara – Argyrea speciosa – 0.117 grams
Vidarikand Ras – Pueraria tuberose – 0.117 grams – used for the treatment of hepatic diseases, discoloration of the skin, fever, to improve the breast milk and as general tonic and improve the body mass.
Gur – Jaggery – 5.625 grams
Dhaiphool – Woodfordia fruticosa – 0.125 grams
Babul chhal – Acacia arabica – 0.125 grams
Prakshep : Kankol – Piper cubeba – 0.0078 grams
Lawang – Syzygium aromaticum – 0.0078 grams
Jaiphal – Myristica fragrans – 0.0078 grams
Kalimarich – Piper nigrum – 0.0078 grams
Dalchini – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – 0.0078 grams
Bara-Elachi – Amomum subulatum – 0.0078 grams
Tejpata – Cinnamomum tamala – 0.0078 grams
Nagkeshar – Mesua ferrea – 0.0078 grams
Pipal – Piper longum – 0.0078 grams
Chitrak mool – Plumbago zeylanicum – 0.0078 grams

Side effects

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It is usually prescribed in a lower dose during lactation and in children.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
diabetic patient should avoid this medicine as it contain jaggery in it.
