Espitone Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Espitone Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Solumiks Herbaceuticals. Espitone is a general tonic. It is especially formulated for persons of all age groups to improve physical and mental functions. The ingredient profile of Espitone extends beyond conventional tonic preparations which provide vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients of Espitone Syrup:
Each 5 ml contains extracts of –
Yastimadhu – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 100 mg – Licorice is used for the treatment of gastritis, hyperacidity.
Pippali – Piper longum – 100 mg
Musta – Cyperus rotundus – 100 mg
Shunti – Zingiber officinale – 100 mg
Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – 100 mg
Brahmi – Bacopa monnieri – 50 mg
Shankha pushpi – Convolvulus pluricaulis – 25 mg – Shankhapushpi is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine used to improve memory, intelligence etc. It is also used in other conditions like vomiting and toxic conditions.
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera – 25 mg

Indication and Dosage

Indication of Espitone Syrup:
As a general tonic.

Dosage of Espitone Syrup:
Children – 5 ml twice a day.
Adults 10 ml twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects

Side effects of Espitone Syrup:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
It is not suitable for people with diabetes.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
