Arthowin Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Arthowin Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Ayurwin Pharma. It is used in the treatment of joint pain, arthritis, gout etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Arthowin tablet:
Each tablet contains-

  • Guggulu [Commiphora mukul] – 50 mg – releives pain and inflammation in joints.
  • Shallaki [Boswelia serrata] – 60 mg – very useful in arthritic pain
  • Erandamoola [Ricinus communis] – 50 mg – Castor root
  • Nirgundi [Vitex negundo] – 50 mg
  • Lashuna [Allium sativum] – 30 mg – Garlic is anti aging spice. It is hot, cleansing, cardiac tonic, digestive, good for eyes, improves hair strength and quality, useful in cough, asthma etc. But needs some precautions while administering it.
  • Amrutha [Tinospora cordifolia] – 30 mg
  • Ashwagandha [Withania somnifera] – 30 mg
  • Balamoola [Sida cordifolia] – 30 mg
  • Punarnava [Boerhaavia diffusa] – 30 mg
  • Chitraka [Plumbago zeylanica] – 20 mg
  • Trikatu [Zingiber officinale, piper longum, Piper nigrum] – 30 mg  – This is a combination of black pepper, long pepper fruit and ginger.
  • Dashamoola – 50 mg – group of 10 roots

Uses

Indication of Arthowin tablet:

  • Pain & stiffness of joints.
  • Musculo-skeletal disorders.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteo arthritis
  • Cervical & lumbar spondylosis
  • Sciatica
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Arthralgia
  • Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
  • Gout – What is Gout? Gout describes a number of disorders in which crystals of monosodium urate monohydrate derived from hyperuricaemic body fluids give rise to inflammatory arthritis (swollen and inflamed joints), tenosynovitis (swelling of muscle tendon and its covering sheath), bursitis (swelling in the spaces of joints) or cellulites (swelling with redness and fluid collection), urolithiasis (kidney stones) and kidney disease.

  • Bursitis trochanterica,
  • Shoulder dislocation pain

Dose, duration of use

Dosage of Arthowin tablet:
1 tablet thrice daily, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects, package, shelf life

Side effects of Arthowin tablet:
Over-dosage may cause gastritis, heart burn symptoms in people with sensitive stomach.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Presentation & Package: Bottle pack of 60 tablets.

Shelf life or expiration date: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
