Aptizoom Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharmaceuticals. It is a natural appetite stimulant for children.

Ingredients of Aptizoom Syrup:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains –
Shatavari [Asperagus racemosus] – 100 mg
Vidanga [Embelica ribes] – 50 mg
Gajapipali [Scindapsus officinalis] – 25 mg
Bringaraja [Eclipta alba] – 25 mg
Nagara [Zingiber officinale] – 25 mg – Ginger
Ajamoda [Carum roxburghianum] – 15 mg
Twak [Cinnamomum zeylanicum] – 15 mg
Tamala [Cinnamomum tamala] – 15 mg
Pippalimoola [Piper longum] – 15 mg – Root of long pepper
Flavoured syrupy base – q.s.

Uses

Indication of Aptizoom Syrup:
Anorexia due to indigestion/any disease.
Slow growth in children due to poor appetite.

Dose

Dosage of Aptizoom Syrup:
Children below 1 years – this product is not suitable.
Children between 1 – 3 years –  3 ml, mixed with 10 ml water, 2 times a day after food.
Children between 3- 10 years – 1 tsp 2-3 times a day.
Adults- 3 tsp 2 times a day, or as directed by you Ayurvedic doctor.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Do’s, don’ts

Do’s:-
Eat small, frequent meals.
Choose your favourite foods to boost interest in eating.
Choose healthy snacks.
Use herbs & spices in cooking to improve digestion and taste of your food.
Practice yoga, take a walk in the morning & evening to stimulate metabolism.

Don’ts:-
Avoid emotional stress.
Avoid irregular food habits.
Avoid medications that irritate the stomach lining.
Avoid smoking, tobacco chewing & consumption of alcohol.

Side effects, package

Side effects of Aptizoom Syrup:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Should be taken under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.

  2. I’m very skinny, do I stand the chance of gaining weight after I use this drug, cause I have tried a whole lot of others and it didn’t work on me.
    And how long will it take for me to see the changes.
