Anuloma Tablet: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Anuloma ablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sagar Pharmaceuticals. It is a potent laxative, useful in the treatment of constipation and Irritable bowel syndrome disorder associated with constipation.

Indication

Indication of Anuloma Tablet:
In constipation associated with piles, old age, post-surgery, pregnancy, psychiatry, heart disease.

Dose

Dosage of Anuloma Tablet:
1-2 tablets at bed time with warm water/buttermilk, or as directed by the physician.

How long to continue?
Based on doctor’s advice, this can be continued for 6 – 8 weeks time.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Anuloma Tablet:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • It is best to avoid this during pregnancy.
  • It is fine to take this during lactation period and in children.
  • Over dose may induce loose motion. In such a case, take 2 tablets of Kutaja Ghanavati and consult your doctor immediately.
  • Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container.
  • Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Tips to relieve constipation

Tips to relieve constipation: 
Include fibers
in your diet. Lots of fruits, vegetables, legumes, corn (bran), cauliflower, raisins, cabbage, berries, green leafy vegetables, celery, beans, guava, figs, flax seed, spinach, orange, mushroom.
Consider eating fruit and vegetable salad mix as part of your lunch or dinner.

Drink good amounts of water throughout the day. Consider taking a cup of lukewarm water at bed time, with a banana.
Avoid excess of coffee and tea. Some people will not get bowel movement urges unless they have their coffee or tea. This advice is not applicable to them.

Milk and dairy products: If you are feeling constipated, consider cutting down on milk and dairy products.
Exercise: Do not sit at a place for a long period of time. Consider walking / jogging for at least 15 minutes in a day

Do not hold the urge: As per Ayurveda, a natural urge is a signal to the person to act. It needs to be attended immediately. Regular holding of urge eventually will lead to constipation.
Avoid excessive spicy food, heavy non veg, and fried food.

Tips for treating constipation:
Drink two to four extra glasses of water a day (unless fluid restricted).
Try warm liquids, especially in the morning.
Drink a cup of warm water in the evening.
Consider getting an oil massage or do it yourself.
