Adacazole Forte Syrup: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side Effects

Adacazole Forte is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Akshay Pharma Remedies. It is an anti-diarrhoeal and used to treat acute & chronic amoebiasis. 

Adacazole Forte is a well-balanced composition to treat diarrhea & dysentery especially associated with cramping pain and/or severe gripping pain. It not only reduces the frequency & consistency of the stools, but also helps to restore the intestinal bacterial flora and enhances the digestive process.

Causes

  • Over eating
  • Infection [amoebic/bacterial]
  • Inadequate enzyme flow
  • Liver disorder
  • Intolerance of specific dietary items
  • Increased intestinal motility etc.

Symptoms

  • Increased frequency of motions
  • Watery stools
  • Sticky stools with mucous
  • Abdominal cramps while passing stools
  • Dissatisfaction after bowel evacuation

Action

Mechanism of action of Adacazole Forte:

  • Controls intestinal motility
  • Resists extracellular fluid in the digestive system
  • Controls infection
  • Improves the flow of essential digestive enzymes
  • Perfectly supports the system due to specific anti-amoebic & anti-bacterial effect, bowel regulatory astringent action, anti-peristaltic and enzyme activating property for rapid recovery.
  • The ingredients in the syrup help to regulate abdominal distension as well which is very common symptom.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Adacazole Forte syrup:
Each 5 ml syrup contains extracts of-

  • Vatsaskadi kwatha – 500 mg – Also known as Vatsakadi kashayam, n Ayurvedic medicine in water decoction form. It is used in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, ulcerative colitis etc.
  • Kutaja [Holarrhena antidysentrica] – 200 mg – Kutaja is a very famous herb used in treating diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome etc. It is used in preparing very common Ayurvedic medicines like Kutajarishta, Kutaj Ghanavati etc.
  • Shunti [Zingiber officinale] – 100 mg
  • Bilva [Aegle marmelos] – 100 mg
  • Chitrakamoola [Plumbago zeylanica] – 50 mg
  • Krishna jeeraka [Nigella sativa] – 50 mg
  • Karpoora [Cinnamomum camphora] – 5 mg – Camphor is a rare herb which, being coolant, balances Kapha Dosha and reduces fat and cholesterol levels. Camphor used for medicinal use is slightly different than the camphor used in Pooja / Spiritual practices.
  • Pudina satva [Mentha piperita] – 5 mg
  • Yavani satva [Trachyspermum ammi] – 5 mg

Indications

Indications of Adacazole Forte:
Diarrhea
Dysentery [amoebic/baccilary]
Irritable bowel syndrome.

Diet rules

Pathya:-

  • Avail roasted grains
  • Drink boiled water to prevent infections
  • Boiled water with pinch of salt
  • Little jiggery and lemon in case of dehydration
  • Avoid milk and other dairy products
  • Unless there is natural urge for eating, it is good to avoid even normal meal.

Dose

Dosage of Adacazole Forte syrup

  • Infants- 5 drops twice or thrice a day.
  • The dosage may be adjusted/modified as per the severity of the disorder.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Syrup- Pet bottle of 100 ml.

Side effects:
There are no known side effects with this product.
Better to avoid this in people with constipation and diabetes.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
