Prunilol Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Atrimed Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. It is the one & only immuno-modulator for eczema and atopic dermatitis in a syrup base.

It is an exclusively formulated syrup for eczema/dermatitis in children.
It is an excellent immuno-modulator first of its kind in the treatment of eczema/dermatitis especially for children.
It provides early relief from itching, inflammation; blisters associated with or without oozing.

  • Prunilol syrup modifies the disease process and decreases the hypersensitive response through its immuno-modulatory activity.
  • It also reduces itching instantaneously through its anti-histaminic effect and do not cause drowsiness.
  • Though Prunilol is formulated with bitter drugs, its syrupy base makes it more palatable for children.

Indication

Indication of Prunilol Syrup:

  • Eczema
  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Pruritis
  • Polymorphic light eruption
  • Other types of skin allergies.

Composition

Composition of Prunilol Syrup:

Each 10 ml contains-

  • Patola (Trichosanthes dioica)- 100 mg
  • Nimba (Azadirachta indica)- 100 mg
  • Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)- 100 mg
  • Haridra (Curcuma longa)- 100 mg
  • Duralabha (Tragia involucrata)- 100 mg

Dose

Dosage of Prunilol Syrup:
5-10 ml, 2-3 times a day.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Prunilol Syrup:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
    Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
