Tulasi Kalpa [Liquid]: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Tulasi Kalpa is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Swadeshi Pharmaceuticals, Udupi- Karnataka. It is an effective anti-tussive, expectorant and demulcent.

Uses

Uses of Tulasi Kalpa:
It is an anti-tussive, expectorant.
Relieves inflammation and oedema of the bronchial tree and facilitates the respiratory process.
Dissolves sputum and phlegm.
Improves bronchial ventilation.

Indication

Indication of Tulasi Kalpa:
Acute and chronic cough
Whooping cough
Allergic cough
Smoker’s cough
Common cold
Bronchitis
Bronchial asthma
Sinusitis and other respiratory disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Tulasi Kalpa:
Tulasi swarasa (Ocimum sanctum)
Vasaka (Adathoda vasica)
Bringaraja (Eclipta alba)
Ardraka (Zingiber officinale)
Kumari (Aloe vera)
Kanaka (Dhattura metel)
Pippali (Piper longum)
Maricha (Piper nigrum)
Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Pushkaramula (Inula racemosa)
Chandana (Santalum album)
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)
Kankola (Piper cubeba)

Dose

Dosage of Tulasi Kalpa:
Adults- 15-30 ml with equal quantity of water twice or thrice a day.
Children- 5-10 ml with equal quantity of water twice or thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Can be taken by all age groups.
Should be taken under medical supervision.
