Pilocid tablet: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Pilocid Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal. It is an effective remedy in the treatment and management of piles. Pilocid tablet is an unique combination of the classical kwatha preparations- Chiruvilvadi kwatha & Dusparshakadi Kwatha mentioned in the classical books for the treatment and management of piles.

Uses

Uses of Pilocid Tablet:
It is an effective remedy in the treatment and management of piles.
The synergistic action of the ingredients gives relief from pain and inflammation associated with piles.
The ingredients in Pilocid tablet improves digestion power and also exhibit mild laxative property.
Wound healing activity of herbs helps for healing in bleeding piles and provides prompt relief from first and second degree piles and pregnancy piles.
Doctors also use this for the treatment of fistula in ano

Indication of Pilocid Tablet:
Hemorrhoids.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Pilocid Tablet:
Each Pilocid tablet contains-
Chiruvilva (Holopttelea integrifolia)- leaf- 0.500 g
Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa)- root- 0.500 g
Vahni (Plumbago zeylanica)- rhizome- 0.500 g
Abhaya (Terminalia chebula)- fruit rind- 0.500 g
Kana (Piper longum)- fruit- 0.500 g
Nagara (Zingiber officinale)- rhizome- 0.500 g
Dusparsha (Tragia involucrata)- root- 0.500 g
Pata (Cyclea peltata)- rhizome- 0.500 g
Excepients- q.s.
Preservative- Methyl Paraben Sodium, Propyl Paraben Sodium.

Dose

Dosage of Pilocid Tablet:
2 tablets thrice daily, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.

    Since I have heat body,I use to get haemorrhoids problem ….after my pregnancy it got worsen….no bleeding..how to get rid of it…plzzz do help

  2. Iam using this product for last three days no bleeding but severe pain while passing motion..stool is very harder.after passing motion severe pain.now got cold also.getting toothache headache.
