Preg Utero Syrup is the nutritional umbrella from conception to lactation.It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Sandu Pharmaceuticals Limited, Mumbai. Preg Utero is a unique herbal preparation and meets the pregnant woman’s nutritional requirements on a month to month basis as recommended by Vagbhata- Masanumasika kashayas and by Charaka as- Prajasthapaka gana.

It has been formulated with an objective of a complete supplement to pregnant woman to take care of the common complaints of pregnancy that are the result of biochemical and emotional disturbances in the expectant mother.

During the pregnancy period, developing foetus makes exacting demands on the physiology of the expectant mother, with the result that the hormonal and the metabolic balance of the mother gets upset, leading to complaints like morning sickness, flatulence, dyspepsia, anorexia, aches, girdle pains, weakness, anemia, giddiness, swelling of the legs, toxemia etc.

Prishniparni (Uraria picta)
Bala (Sida cordifolia)
Vasa (Adathoda vasica)
Brahmi (Centella asiatica)
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Shatavari (Asperagus racemosus)
Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa)
Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)
Padmaka (Prunus cerasoides)
Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris)

Dose

Dosage of Preg Utero Syrup:
2-4 tsp twice daily

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Habit forming

Is this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a few months of usage?
This medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it does not cause any ill effects.
