Carmogripe Syrup promotes digestive health and healthy weight gain in children. It is a proprietary ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Jammi’s Ayurveda Pharmaceuticals, Chennai.

Composition of Carmogripe Syrup:
Each 5 ml contains equal amount of-
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)
Amalaki (Embelica officinale)
Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris)
Bhringaraja (Eclipta alba)
Pippali (Piper longum)
Shunti (Zingiber officinale)
Himsra (Capparis spinasa)
Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)
Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa)
Jhavuka (Tamarix gallica)

Mechanism of action

Justification for ingredients of Carmogripe Syrup:
The various ingredients that enter in to the composition of Carmogripe are carminatives, stomachic, anti-flatulent and demulcents.

By virtue of these properties Carmogripe helps in expelling gas, in addition to preventing accumulation of the same.

The ingredients of the products are of Ayurvedic origin and have been subjected to extensive clinical trials individually & in various combinations from time to time by eminent Ayurvedic physicians.

Amalaki- balances stomach acids, improves digestion and prevents body from heating up.
Pippali- reduces abdominal colicky pain, helps in flatulence and induces sleep.
Shunti- antispasmodic, gastric mobility relieves cramps and prevents acid reflux.
Himsra- useful in gastric digestion and gas relief
Haritaki- a good natural laxative, excellent for the digestive system, reduces colic pain, calming and soothing.

Dose

Dosage of Carmogripe Syrup:
Infants- 1 table spoon 2 times daily

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Carmogripe Syrup:
There are no side effects and the preparation is well accepted.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
