AA Caps Capsule relieves respiratory tract disorders. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Jammi’s Ayurveda Pharmaceuticals, Chennai.

Contra-indication of AA Caps Capsule:
Not indicated in pregnant women.

Composition

Composition of AA Caps Capsule:
Each capsule contains-
Thalisadi choorna – 51 mg
Swasananda – 50 mg
Pravala bhasma (Clax of coral)- 100 mg
Tankana bhasma (borax)- 56 mg
Swetha maricha (Piper nigrum)- 14 mg
Kumara swarasa (Aloe vera)- 5.2 mg
Karpooradi choorna – 74 mg
Trikatu (Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum)- 37 mg
Triphala (Embelica officinale, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica)- 74 mg
Athimadhuram (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- 38.8 mg

Mechanism of action

Justification for ingredients of AA Caps Capsule:
Tankana bhasma– is used in phlegmatic problems like cough and bronchitis.
Swasanand – anti-spasmodic and expectorant
Swetha maricha– medicinal herbs that pacifies conditions of pitta. Antispasmodic, it helps to relax sore throat.
Thalisadi choorna– a mixture of therapeutic ingredients like ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, long pepper and few others. The healing properties of these ingredients help to treat cold, cough, asthma and bronchia conditions.
Karpooradi choorna– used to treat chronic respiratory diseases. It is an excellent expectorant and decongestant.

Thalisadi, Swasananda and Pravala bhasma– are excellent expectorants, antispasmodics and carminatives.
Thalisadi & Swetha maricha– acts as mild antiseptics.
Tankana bhasma– is a mild anti-emetic.
Athimadhuram- improves immunity and detoxifies blood. It is also mild anti-emetic.

Dose

Dosage of AA Caps Capsule:
1 capsule 2 times a day, mixed with honey or with Jammi’s Swasacolyn.
Adults- 2 tablets, 3 times daily after food.
Children- 1 tablet, 3 times daily after food.
Infants above 6 months- 1 tablet 4 times daily with tea spoon of milk, honey or fresh juice after food.
Infants below 6 months- 1 tablet 3 times daily, with tea spoon of milk, honey or fresh juice after food.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects, package

Side effects of AA Caps Capsule:
No serious side effects are observed except for occasional tendency for vomiting due to individual idiosyncrasy.
