Liporid Tablet– Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Liporid Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group, Kerala, used in treatment of high cholesterol levels in blood.

Liporid Tablet uses:
As per the claims of manufacturer, it is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Hypercholestrolaemia and associated disease conditions.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta

Dose and duration of use

Nagarjuna Liporid Tablet Dose:
2 tablets two times a day, with milk or lukewarm water or as directed by physician.

How long to take? 
It can be taken for upto 2 – 3 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Guggulu – Indian Bedellium (resin) – Commiphora mukul – 2.167 g
Lashuna – Garlic – Alium sativum – 1.083 g
166 mg each of
Punarnava – Spreading Hogweed (spreading hogweed) – Boerhaavia diffusa
Vrikshamla – Garcinia indica
Kaidarya – Curry leaves – Murraya koenigii
Arjuna – Terminalia arjuna – bark
Prishniparni – Root – Uraria picta
Shalaparni – Root – Desmodium gangeticum
Krishnajiraka – Nigella sativa
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum

Side effects

Side effect: 
There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to take this medicine under medical supervision.
Special precaution is needed while prescribing this medicine to children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Accidental over-dosage may cause mild gastric irritation.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
