Gason Syrup – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Gason Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group, Kerala, used in treatment of Flatulence, indigestion etc.

Uses

Gason Syrup uses: 
As per the claims of manufacturer, it is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Flatulence, indigestion and associated gastric disorders.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta and Vata.

Dose and duration of use

Gason Syrup Dosage:
10 – 15 ml three times a day, or as advised by physician.

How long to take? 
It can be taken up to 1 – 2 months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Lasunam – Lashuna – Garlic – Alium sativum – 20%,
Hingu – Asa foetida -10%,
5 % each of
Shunti – Ginger (rhizome) – Zingiber officinalis,
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum,
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum,
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum,
Krishna jeeraka – Nigella sativa
Ajamoda – Ajowan seed – Trachyspermum ammi
Bilva – Bael (root) – Aegle marmelos,
Agnimantha – Premna corymbosa / mucronata Root,
Punarnava – Spreading Hogweed (spreading hogweed) – Boerhaavia diffusa,
Sahachara – Strobilanthes heynianus ,
Saindhava – Black Salt

Side effects

Side effect: 
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
Special precaution is needed while prescribing this medicine to children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Accidental over-dosage may cause gastric irritation.
It is not ideal for people with hyperacidity and gastritis.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
