Allergin Granules – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Allergin Granules is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group, Kerala, used in treatment of Diabetes mellitus.

Uses, effect on dosha

Allergin Granules uses: As per the claims of manufacturer, it is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Allergic conditions such as alleric rhinitis, Urticaria, tropical eosinophilia.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha

Dose and duration of use

Nagarjuna Allergin Granules Dose: 
1 teaspoonful two times a day or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to take?
It can be taken for 4 – 6 weeks, as directed by Physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Haridra – Turmeric Rhizome – Curcuma Longa – 21.33 g
2 g each of
Darvi – Berberis aristata
Surasa – Holy Basil – Ocimum sanctum
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan (fruit rind) – Terminalia chebula
Amalaki -Indian Gooseberry- Emblica officinalis / Phyllanthus emblica
Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan – Terminalia bellirica
Devadaru – Himalayan Cedar (bark / heart wood) – Cedrus deodara
Bilva – Bael (root) – Aegle marmelos
Karanja – Indian Beech (bark, seed) – Pongamia pinnata
Trivrit – Operculina turpethum
Vidanga – False black pepper (fruit) – Embelia ribes
Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus
Tagara – Indian Valerian (root) – Valeriana wallichi
Shunti – Ginger (rhizome) – Zingiber officinalis
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum
Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum
Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Patra – Cinnamomum tamala
Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea
Ghrita – Cow ghee -16 g
Ksheera – Cow milk – 170.66 g
Khandasita – White sugar candy – 133.33 g

Side effects and precautions

Side effects and precautions: 
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to take this medicine under strict medical supervision.
It is not suitable for diabetic patients, since it contains sugar ingrediend.
Special precaution is needed while prescribing this medicine to children, pregnant and lactating mothers.

    • Hi, most of the companies with proprietary products – They take up an already-established product, add or delete a few ingredients and make their own branded product. This helps in many ways for them.
      1. Branding – This is the number 1 reason. If the same company sells Haridra Khanda, there is no branding. Many companies sell Haridra Khanda, so, this product from this company becomes “replaceable”
      2. Value addition – With good research, the company may add a few ingredients and make the product actually better than the original Haridra Khanda.

  4. I have severe allergic to dust due to which sneezing starts. I have been taking allergin alongwith tribuvan kirti ras and mahalaxmi Vilas ras .
    Is there any side effects
