Amlapitta Mishran Suspension is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, Mumbai, India. It is used in treatment of vomiting and gastritis.
Uses and effect on dosha
Amlapitta Mishran Suspension uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Amlapitta (hyperacidity and gastritis), Hrullasa (nausea, excessive salivation), Chardi (vomiting), Shirahshoola (headache), Udarshoola (abdominal colic pain), anorexia.
It improves digestion process and re-establishes normal metabolic activity.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta.
Dose and duration of use
Amlapitta Mishran Suspension Dosage: 1 to 2 teaspoonful, 2-3 times a day preferably before food, or as directed by physician.
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1-2 months, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Patola – snake gourd – Trichosanthes cucumerica / Trichosanthes dioica – 100 mg,
Yashtimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 100 mg

Does it help to control farting
I am having constipation from 2 months, Dr gave me this syrup but after taking it for 6 days it doesn’t cure and my anul is paining a lot what to do??
It is not commonly used for the treatment of constipation. Please try with Triphala churna – 1 teaspoon at night after food along with a cup of water for a week, along with this medicine. If symptoms do not improve, please consult a doctor directly.

Add Kamdugha ras tablet -1 tablet 2 times a day before food for 15 days. If no improvement, consult a doctor directly.
If she is not taking it daily and only when there is acidity problem, then it is good to continue. If she is taking it daily, better to lower the dose now.
Can an ulcerative colitis patient regularly take amlapitta misharan for hyper acidity ? Is it safe for an ulcerative colitis patient?
No. It contains sugar.
I have been advised by an Aurvedic doctor to take amlapitta mishran along with Hepotomin_G . I suffer from acidity and erratic digestion_ -somedays it is ok other days not so good.. I had problem of Lecorea and was prescribed medicines for it with minimal benefit despite taking it for 2-3 months. The doctor then prescribed Vasantkusmakar rasa and shatavari kalpa both of Dudhpakeshwar to be taken with malai and milk. I suspect that loss of hunger could be due to these medicines as i find it difficult to digest milk.

It may be due to Triphala in Amlapitta Mishrana.
It might not kill H Pylori, but it will relieve your symptoms.
