Amavatari Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Pavaman Pharmaceuticals, Bijapur, Karnataka, India. It is used in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, gout etc.
Uses and effect on dosha
Amavatari Capsules uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Rheumatiod arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Lumbago, Sciatica, Backache, Muscular pain.
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Kapha and Vata.
Dose and duration of use
Amavatari Capsules Dosage:
- Adult:- 1 Capsule Three times a day or 2 tablets 2 times a day.
- Children:- 1 Capsule Three times a day or two times a day, or as directed by the physician
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1-2 months, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effect:
Children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
People with High BP should take this product only under medical supervision.
Overdosage may cause side effects like mild heart burn.
