Abhraloha Tablets – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Abhraloha Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, Mumbai, India. It is used in treatment of anemia, indigestion, liver disorders etc. 

Uses and effect on dosha

Abhraloha Tablets uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of 
Pandu (Anemia),
Dourbalya (Fatigue, tiredness),
Anaemia during pregnancy & lactation,
Menstrual disorders – spotting between periods, metrorrhagia,
Anaemia due to Kamala (jaundice), Jeernajwara (Chronic fever), Atisara (diarrhoea), Agnimandya (indigestion, anorexia) and Liver disorders.

It is a natural haematinic. It is also used to control hair fall.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta.

Dose and duration of use

Abhraloha Tablet Dose:  1 to 2 tablets twice a day after food with milk or lukewarm water

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1-2  months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this be taken by a patient with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease)?
If the patient of CKD has iron deficiency anemia, then this medicine can be administered as per doctor’s advice.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron – 125 mg,
Abhraka Bhasma – 50 mg,
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn. – 10 mg,
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula – 10 mg,
Bibhitak – Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica – 10 mg,
Shunti – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis – 10 mg,
Marich – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 10 mg,
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 10 mg,
Vidang – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 10 mg,
Chitrak – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica – 10 mg,
Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus – 10 mg,
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus root – 100 mg

Side effects

Side effect: 
Children, Pregnant and lactating mothers should take this product only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time.
