Acidact Tablet – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Acidact Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine. It means that the formula of the medicine is designed by the manufacturing company and it is not present in any traditional Ayurvedic text books. It is manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, Kerala. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of gastritis. 

Uses

Acidact Tablet uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Acid peptic disorders such as gastritis, dyspepsia, etc.

Dose and duration of use

Dosage: 2 tablet thrice daily or as directed by the physician.

How long to take? 

It can be taken for upto one to two months, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Acidact tablet Ingredients: Each tablet is prepared out of aqueous extract of
Pushkaramoola (Inula racemosa) 1.000 g – Pushkarmool is a very useful Ayurvedic herb, used in the treatment of heart diseases, respiratory diseases like asthma, bronchitis, cough etc
Erandamoola (Ricinus communis) 1.000 g – Castor root  – Castor root, seeds and leaves are extensively used in Ayurvedic treatments, both for externally and internally. Castor is aphrodisiac, relieves pain and useful in neurological disorders.
Yavam (Hordeum vulgare) 1.000 g
Dhanvayashamoola (Tragia involucrata) 1.000 g

Side effects and package

Side effects and precautions:
One patient complained of worsening of gastritis with this product.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry cool place.

  1. Started taking the tablet 1 week ago.i feel bloating more since i started. Is it common?
    Someone said that when you take ayurvedic medicines, symptoms will increase first and it will dicrease so on…is that true dr?

  2. Acidact is somewhat tricky Product. It sometimes creates digestive problems rather than aiding digestion. I have used this medicine for about few months.
