Gandhaka Malahara – Benefits, How To Use, Ingredients, Side Effects

Gandhaka Malahara is an Ayurvedic medicine. It is an ointment used to treat skin diseases such as An ointment used for treating ring worm infection, jock itch, tinea infection, allergic dermatitis, eczema etc. 

Uses

 It is used in skin diseases such as ring worm infestation, allergic dermatitis, fungal infection etc.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta and Kapha.

Gandhak Malahar – how to use: It is used for external application.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s prescription.

Side Effects

There are no known side effect of this on external application. However, this medicine should only be used under medical supervision.

Gandhak Malam ingredients, how to make:
Sikta taila – (prepared by heating sesame oil with bee wax in 1:5 or 1:6 ratio) – 72 g
Gandhaka – Purified and processed Sulphur – 6 g
Girisindura – 6 g
Tankana Bhasma – Borax – 2 g
Ghanasara – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora  – 2 g
Sikta taila is heated, and while it is cooling down, rest of the ingredients are added and stirred well.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
