Apamarga Kshara taila is an Ayurvedic medicine. It is an herbal oil. It is used in the treatment of tinnitus, hearing deficiency. 

Uses

It is used in the treatment of  ear disorders, tinnitus and hearing loss.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata.

Apamarg Kshar Taila  – how to use 2 – 3 drops of this oil is instilled into each ear once or twice a day or as prescribed by Ayurvedic doctor.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s prescription.

Side Effects

Apamarga Taila side effects: There are no known side effects with this oil on external application. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a cool dry place.

Apamarga Taila ingredients, how to make:
Water added with Apamarga  Kshara –  Prickly Chaff Flower – Achyranthes aspera – 10 g
Water – 160 g Taila – Oil of Sesamum indicum – 40 ml
Apamarga –  Prickly Chaff Flower – Achyranthes aspera – 10 g
All the ingredients are mixed and boiled till total moisture is lost from the oil, filtered.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Can Apamarga Kshara taila be used as nasya oil?
No. Because Apamarga kshara is a very strong medicine, it will be very harsh on soft nasal mucosa. It may cause severe allergy, nasal discharge and redness in the patient.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
