Mukta Panchamrit Ras – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Mukta Panchamrit Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form. It is used in the treatment of Chronic fever, Pthisis, Emaciation, Cough etc.  This medicine contains heavy metal ingredients, hence should only be taken under strict medical supervision.

Uses

It is used in the treatment of Cough, Cold, Bronchitis, Pthisis, Asthma, Chronic fever.
It cures jwara vyadhi, jeerna jwara, in severe condition of  rajayakshma. By using rogoktha anupana it is said to cure almost all type of diseases.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha.

Dosage


250 mg once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally administered along with honey, Milk, hot water.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s prescription.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side Effects


Self medication with this medicine may prove to be dangerous, since it contains Tin as ingredient.
Take this medicine in precise dose and for limited period of time, as advised by doctor.
Over-dosage may cause sever poisonous effect.
It is best avoided in pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry cool place.

Mukta Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Pearl – 80 g
Pravala Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Coral – 40 g
Vanga Bhasma – Tin Calx – 20 g
Shankha Bhasma – Bhasma of Conch Shell – 10 g
Shukti Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Pearl Oyster – 10 g
Quantity sufficient of
Ikshurasa – Sugarcane juice
Godudghda – Cow milk
Juice extract of Vidari – Pueraria tuberosa
Juice extract of Kumari – Aloe vera
Juice extract of Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus root
Juice extract of Tulasi – Holy Basil – Ocimum sanctum
Juice extract of Hamsapadi – Adiantum philippense Linn. / lunulatum
Drugs 1 to 5 are mixed well, ground with each liquids for six hours with drugs 6 to 12. One
Laghuputa (heat of 400 degree celsius for one hour in closed container) is given in the usual way and made into powder.
