Laghu Malini Vasant ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet or powder form. It is used in the treatment of chronic fever, menorrhagia, eye disorders etc. This medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision.

Benefits

It is used in the treatment of Disorders of Pitta, bleeding disorders, Fever, Pthisis, Menorrhagia, Leucorrhoea, Haemorrhoids, Disorders during pregnancy, Chronic fever, Diarrhoea resulting in tissue wasting, Eye disorders, bleeding hemorrhoids, Intermittent fever.

Traditional indications:
Pradara – menorrhagia, heavy periods, leucorrhea
Jwara – fever
Jeerna Jwara – chronic fever
Dhatugata Jwara – tissue level fever
Atisara – diarrhea
Rakta Atisara – diarrhea with bleeding
Rakta vikara – blood vitiation disorders
Pitta Vikara – Pitta aggravation diseases
For the above diseases, it is advised along with milk.
Vishama Netra Roga – complicated eye disorders of Pitta origin, sub conjunctival haemorrhage
Garbhini Jwara – fever during pregnancy – to be given with Vaijayanti flower
Garbha Poshana – nourishes fetus

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Pitta.

Shloka of Laghu Malini Vasanta Ras

Dosage

Traditional dose is w Valla = 2 X 375 mg = 750 mg in divided doses per day.
For Pitta and Rakta disorders, it is advised along with milk.
For pregnant mother, it is advised with Vaijayanti flower juice extract. (Jayanti – Sesbania Sesban)

Usually 250 mg once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally administered along with milk, honey.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s prescription.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side Effects

Self medication with this medicine may prove to be dangerous.
Take this medicine in precise dose and for limited period of time, as advised by doctor.
Over-dosage may cause sever poisonous effect.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry cool place.

Laghu Malini Vasant ras ingredients, how to make:
Rasaka Bhasma – Bhasma (Calx) of Zinc Sulphide – 20 g
Vallija Nistusha – Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 10 g
Butter and lemon juice – quantity sufficient.
To be ground with butter and Lemon juice till the stickiness is removed from the medicine.
