Kaya Thirumeni Thailam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Kaya Thirumeni Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is useful in treating traumatic swellings.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Kaya Thirumeni Thailam:
Kuppai meni – Harita manjari – Acalypha indica – 12 %
Manjal karisalai – Peeta bringa – Wedelia calendulacea – 12 % – Good anti inflammatory herb, relieves pain, swelling and redness.
Marul samoolam – Moorva – Sansevieria roxburghiana – 12 %
Sangankuppi – Kandaki – Azima tetracantha – 12 %
Kovai samoolam – Bimbitaka – Ivy gourd – Coccinia cordifolia – 12 % – Useful in the treatment of bleeding disorders, swelling, cough, asthma and chronic respiratory disorders
Seenthil samoolam – Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 12 %
Karpooravalli samoolam – Parnayavani – Coleus amboinicus – 12 % – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Nayurivi samoolam – Apamarga – Achyranthus aspera – 12 % – It has anti-bacterial and wound healing activities.
Karunseeragam – Krishna jeeraka – Black caraway – Nigella sativa – 0.20 %
Karboga arishi – Bakuchi – Psoralea corylifolia – 0.20 %
Palthutham – Zinc sulphate – 0.20 %
Pravalaputru – Pravalapatra – Corallium rubrum – 0.20 %
Kopuram thanki – Kusta – Saussurea lappa – 0.20 %
Santhanam – Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 0.20 % – It detoxifies blood, useful in bleeding disorders.
Thevatharam – Devadaru – Cedrus deodara – 0.20 % – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Ettipattai – Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica – 0.20 %
Sathipathiri – Jatipatra – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 0.20 % – It is an aphrodisiac, digestive tonic, very useful even with external application in case of headache, useful in cough, cold, asthma and more. 
Vellai kunkiliyam – Shaala – Shorea robusta – 0.20 % – It is mainly used in treating non healing wounds, diabetes, boils, deafness etc. 
Thurusu – Thuttha – Copper sulphate – 0.20 %
Sathikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 0.20 %
Karuppu vettiver – Usheera – Vetiveria zizanioides – 0.20 % – It heals wounds quickly and relieves burning sensation.
Athimathuram – Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 0.20 %
Seeeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 0.20 %
Pachaikarpooram – Karpoora – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora – 0.20 %
Gingely oil – Tila taila – Sesame oil – Sesamum indicum – q.s. – It helps to strengthen the bones, muscles and joints.

Indication

Indication of Kaya Thirumeni Thailam:

  • Adipatta veekkam [traumatic swelling]
  • Vali [pain]
  • Esivu [muscle spasm]
  • Ratha kattu [contusion]
  • Varma vali
  • Varma pidippu [all types of varma disorders]
  • Ulkayam [internal injuries]
  • Muchu pidippu [difficulty in breathing due to internal injuries]
  • Employed in painful musculo-skeletal disorders.

Application on feet

Oil application over feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Direction for use

Direction for use of Kaya Thirumeni Thailam:
Apply to the affected part and rub gently followed by fomentation with Elaikizhi or Podikizhi or with hot water.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Kaya Thirumeni Thailam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • For external application only.

Bottle of 100 ml & 500 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.

    Before very very long days when I live in Nagercoil that time I was use this oil and get cure. I was remember that Mr Gopal aasaan really he is very great. He save me from injuries.
