Seeraga Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is best in digestive tract disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Seeraga Chooranam:
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 80 % – It is very good in treating digestive track disorders.
Sarkkarai – Sita – Saccharum officinarum – 20 %

Elumuchai pasha juice – Jambira – Lemon – Citrus acida – q.s. – It helps to relieve excessive accumulation of Kapha in stomach, leading to vomiting. Hence, lemon juice is consumed whenever one suffers from nausea, excessive salivation, vomiting etc.
Karumbu juice – Ikshu – Sugarcane – Saccharum officinarum – q.s. – It calms Pitta dosha.
Musumusukkai juice – Trikosaki – Melothria maderaspatana – q.s.
Nellikkai juice – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – q.s.
Thoothuvalai juice – Alarka – Solanum trilobatum – q.s.
Veppampattai juice – Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – q.s. – Balances Pitta and Kapha.
Thumbai elai juice – Dronapushpi – Leucas aspera – q.s. – Relieves indigestion, anorexia, worm infestation etc.

Indication

Indications of Seeraga Chooranam:

Piththa noigal [useful in bilious diseases] such as-

• Kirukiruppu [giddiness]
• Vaanthi [emesis/vomiting]
• Mayakkam [swooning]
• Seriyamai [indigestion]
• Kaangai [excessive heat]
• Yeppam [belching].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Seeraga Chooranam:
1 – 2 g twice or thrice a day with water after food for 40 days.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
