Durvadi Ghrita is an Ayurvedic medicine in ghee form, manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is mainly used in the treatment of bleeding disorders.

Ingredients of Durvadi Ghrit
Durva – Cynodon dactylon – Coolant, astringent, useful in the treatment of blood disorders such as abscess, skin disorders, bleeding disorders such as nasal bleeding, menorrhagia etc.
Pomegranate – Dadima – Punica granatum
Indian madder – Manjishta – Rubia cordifolia – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification.
Lotus – Kamala – Nelumbo nucifera – It is useful in the treatment of bleeding disorders, burning sensation, dizziness, excessive thirst, burning urination etc.
Saffron – Keshara – Crocus sativus
Gular – Udumbara – Ficus racemosa –Being astringent herb, it brings about blocking effect.
Khus – Ushira – Vetiveria zizanioides – It is widely used in treating fever, dysuria, burning sensation, fatigue syndrome, skin diseases etc.
Nagarmotha – Cyperus rotundus – It relieves fever, burning sensation, excessive thirst, diarrhea, herpes etc.
Sandalwood – Safed Chandan – Santalum album – It is a coolant, very useful in gastritis, burning sensation in hands and feet.
Padmaka – Prunus cerasoides – It is used to treat herpes, burning sensation, blisters, skin diseases, excessive thirst, dizziness etc.
Malabar nut – Vasa – Adhatoda vasica -It detoxifies blood and useful in bleeding disorders.
Saffron – Keshar – Crocus sativus
Geru – Ochre
Nagkesar – Mesua ferrea–It is used for the treatment of fever, thirst, edema, herpes, vomiting, skin diseases etc.

Pete ka ras – Parpataka – Fumaria parviflora – It is used in fever, high Pitta conditions such as gastritis, diarrhea, excessive thirst etc.
Ayapan ka ras – Eupatorium triplinervis – It is useful in the treatment of bleeding wounds, indigestion, cough, fever etc.
Rice water – Tandulodaka

Bleeding disorders such as nasal bleeding, menorrhagia, rectal bleeding etc.

Dosage of Durvadi Ghrit
Quarter to half teaspoon with sugar candy, once or twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects of Durvadi Ghrit
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
