Patanjali Youvan Churna: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Patanjali Youvan Churna is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It improves strength and stamina, and builds up immunity. Acts as an aphrodisiac.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Youvan Churna:
Salam Panja – Dactylorhiza hatagirea
Salam Mishri – Polygonatum verticillatum – Aphrodisiac, Nervine Tonic, Nutritive and used in Sexual weakness.
Safed Mushli – Asparagus adscendens – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, lack of libido and to improve the body stamina. 
Rumi mastagi – Pistacia lentiscus – It is an aphrodisiac and useful in liver disorders, burn wounds etc. 
Kshira kakoli – Roscoea purpurea
Ashwagandha – Indian ginseng – Withania somnifera – It improves sexual strength.
Gond Katira – Tragacanth gum
Palasha – Butea monosperma
Behman Safed – Centaurea behen
Jaharmohra Bhasma – It is an Ayurvedic medicine in powder form, used in the treatment of heart diseases, cough, asthma etc.
Bang Bhasma – Tin Calx – It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of obesity, anemia, asthma etc.

Indications of Patanjali Youvan Churna:
General debility
Weakness
Sexual debility
Insomnia
Menstrual problems
Leucorrhea

Dose

Dosage of Patanjali Youvan Churna:
1 – 3 g, after food with milk or warm water.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

Side effects of Patanjali Youvan Churna:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Shelf life:
Two years from the date of manufacturing. If you have opened the seal of the container, better to finish the medicine within 2 – 3 months.

With Homeopathy and western medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
