Patanjali Divya Peedantak Taila: Uses, Ingredients, Usage, Side effects

Patanjali Divya Peedantak Taila is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine in oil form, manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is used in the treatment of back pain, pelvic pain, joint pain, sciatica etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Taila:
Nagkesar – Mesua ferrea – It relieves pain and inflammation.
Tejpatra – Bay leaf – Cinnamomum tamala 
Bhringraj – Eclipta alba
Haldi – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – It relieves inflammation, swelling, pain, cleanses and heals wounds.
Mulethi – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra
Gaj pippal – Scindapsus officinalis
Pippla mool – Long pepper root – Piper longum
Manjith – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification. Its root is extensively used in many skin disease medicines of Ayurveda.
Sugandhbala – Jatamansi – Valeriana jatamansi
Saunf – Fennel seed – Foeniculum vulgare
Erand mool – Castor root – Ricinus communis – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Arq mool – Calotropis gigantea
Dhatura – Datura metel – It relieves pain and inflammation.
Prasarini – Paederia foetida – Useful in wound and bone healing. It relieves pain, inflammation and stiffness.
Ajwain – Carom seed – Carum copticum
Kuchla Shudh – Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica
Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Nirgundi – Vitex negundo – It is a very good muscle relaxant, pain relieving herb of Ayurveda.
Lashuna – Garlic – Allium sativum – It improves blood circulation, relieves pain and inflammation. Hence useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteo arthritis and sciatica.
Ksheera – Milk
Dadhi – Curd
Go mutra – Cow’s Urine

Post viral fever – body and joint pains

Usage, duration of use

Usage of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Oil:
Gently massage the oil on the affected part 2 – 3 times a day. For external use only.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to apply?
This medicine can be applied for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice.

Side effects of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Taila:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
This product is meant only for external application.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Avoid accidental oral intake. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.
