Poduthalai Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is best used for dandruff.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Poduthalai Thailam:
Poduthalai samoolam – Jala pippali – Phyla nodiflora – 25 % – It has anti-bacterial activity.
Arunganpul samoolam – Durva – Cynodon dactylon – 25 % – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of eye disorders, skin disorders, herpes, uterine disorder, convulsion etc.
Thenkai ennai – Narikela taila – Coconut oil – Cocos nucifera – 25 % – It improves hair quality and strength. Promotes hair growth.
Karunseeragam – Krishna jeeraka – Black caraway – Nigella sativa – 25 % – It naturally restore hair growth.

Indication

Indication of Poduthalai Thailam:

  • Podugu [dandruff]
  • Thalai arippu [itching of the scalp].

Direction for use

Direction for use of Poduthalai Thailam:
To be applied over the scalp.

Side effects of Poduthalai Thailam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • For external application only.

Presentation:

Bottle of 100 ml, 250 ml & 500 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
