Navapasana Sudar Thailam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Navapasana Sudar Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is mainly used for treating carcinoma.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Navapasana Sudar Thailam:
Sutham seitha rasam – Shuddha Parada – Hydragyrum – 11.1 %
Sutham seitha veeram – Mercuric chloride – 11.1 %
Sutham seitha pooram – Mercury chloride – 11.1 %
Sutham seitha lingam – Shuddha Hingula – Red sulfide of mercury – 11.1 % Sutham seitha aritharam – Shuddha Haratala – Arsenic trisulfide – 11.1 % -It is useful in skin diseases with itching, cough, cold, bronchitis, asthma, syphilis, sinus, boils etc.
Sutham seitha manoseelai – Shuddha Manashila – Arsenic disulfide – 11.1 %
Sutham seitha vellai pasanam – Arsenic trioxide – 11.1 %
Sutham seitha kanthagam – Shuddha Gandhaka – Elemental Sulphur – 11.1 %
Elluppa ennai – Madhuka – Madhuca longifolia – q.s. – It is described in Ayurveda for treating skin diseases, nerve disorders, cough, burning sensation and diarrhea.
Punga ennai – Karanja taila – Pongamia pinnata – q.s. – It is an herbal oil, used in the treatment of herpes, boils and abscesses.
Veppa ennai – Nimba taila – Neem oil – Azadirachta indica – q.s.
Gingili oil – Tila taila – Sesame oil – Sesamum indicum – q..s
Villakku ennai – Eranda taila – Castor oil – Ricinus communis – q.s. – It is told as a rejuvenative and anti aging medicine. It is excellent in relieving Vata and Kapha disorders. 
Sutham seitha gowri pasanam – Shuddha gowripashana – Arsenic pentasulfide – 11.1 %

Indication

Indication of Navapasana Sudar Thailam:

  • Vadha, pitha , kaba noikal [vitiation of vatha, pitta & kapha doshas]
  • Sanni [delirium]
  • Very effective in venkuttam/vanpadai [leucoderma]
  • It is given in lung cancer [nurraiyeeral puttru] & also on all types of cancers.

Application on feet

Oil application over feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Direction for use

Direction for use of Navapasana Sudar Thailam:
5 – 10 drops with milk, palm jaggery or cane sugar after food, morning & night twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Navapasana Sudar Thailam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.

Bottle of 10 ml & 100 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
