Megarajanga Ennai: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Megarajanga Ennai is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used to treat urogenital disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Megarajanga Ennai:
Sutham seitha rasam – Shuddha Parada – Hydragyrum – 25 %
Sutham seitha rasakarpooram – Shuddha Rasakarpoora – Mercury chloride – 25 % – It is used to treat diarrhea, dysentery, helminthiasis, skin diseases, pruritis, boils, chancroid, microbial infection, anorexia, ulcers, non healing wounds.
Sutham seitha nervalam – Jayapala – Croton tiglium – 25 % – It has anti- dermatophytic activity.
Sutham seitha serankottai – Shuddha Bhallathaka – Semecarpus anacardium – 25 % – It is used extensively in piles, inflammation, skin diseases and induces quick wound healing etc.
Villakku ennai – Eranda Taila – Castor oil – Ricinus communis – q.s. – It improves skin qualities and useful in skin diseases, inflammation etc.

Indications of Megarajanga Ennai:

  • Vellai [leucorrhoea]
  • Vettai [gonorrhoea]
  • Kiranthi
  • Anaithu mega noikal [all types of urogenital disorders]
  • Natpatta noikal [chronic debilitating disorders]
  • Saruma noikal [all types of skin diseases].

Direction for use

Direction for use of Megarajanga Ennai:
5 – 10 drops with milk, palm sugar, cane sugar etc. after food twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

Application on feet

Oil application over feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Megarajanga Ennai:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under strict medical supervision.
  • Must be avoided in pregnancy, lactation & children.

Bottle of 10 ml & 100 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
