Lagu Vishamushti Thailam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Lagu Vishamushti Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used to treat rheumatic pains.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Lagu Vishamushti Thailam:
Ettikottai – Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica – 2.79 %
Poondu – Lashuna – Garlic – Allium sativum – 2.79 % – Useful in treating disorders of Vata Dosha imbalance  such as neuralgia, paralysis, constipation, bloating, etc.
Aayil thool – Chirabilva – Holoptelea integrifolia – 1.36 % – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Nalla ennai – Tila taila – Sesame oil – Sesamum indicum – 93.05 % – It helps to strengthen the bones, muscles and joints.
Processed in –
Vellattupaal – Aja dugdha – Goat milk – Capra aegagrus – q.s.

Indication of Lagu Vishamushti Thailam:
Nervous disorders such as-vadha rogangal [rheumatism].

Direction for use

Direction for use of Lagu Vishamushti Thailam:

  • The oil is to be applied over the affected area & massaged gently.
  • Get the oil warmed up by keeping in the sun for some time before application.

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Lagu Vishamushti Thailam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • For external application only.

Bottle of 100 ml, 250 ml & 500 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
