Kulir Thamarai Thailam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Kulir Thamarai Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used to treat pitha disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Kulir Thamarai Thailam:
Thamarai Saru – Kamala – Lotus – Nelumbo nucifera – 32 % – It improves skin colour and complexion. Relieves burning sensation, skin boils etc.
Nalla ennai – Tila taila – Sesame oil – Sesamum indicum – 65 % – Improves the quality of skin and hair. Improves overall strength.
Poolan kizhangu – Kachora – Kaempferia galanga – 1.50 % – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of swelling, skin diseases and wound healing.
Thiruneettru pachilai [dry] – Thulasi – Basil – Ocimum basilicum – 1.50 %

Indication

Indication of Kulir Thamarai Thailam:
Bathing oil for all types of pitha disorders [disorders of body heat].

Application on feet

Oil application over feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Direction for use

Direction for use of Kulir Thamarai Thailam:
To be used as bathing oil.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Kulir Thamarai Thailam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • For external application only.

Bottle of 100 ml & 500 ml.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
