Vallarai Ghritham is a classical Siddha medicated ghee, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of ulcers & skin diseases.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Vallarai Ghritham:
Jadhikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 0.5 %
Jadhipaththiri – Jatipatra – Myristica fragrans – 0.5 %
Maasikkai – Mayaphala – Quercus infectoria – Oliver – 0.5 % – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of wounds, control bleeding, piles, oral diseases, diarrhea, dysmenorrhea and cases of plant poisoning. 
Kadukkai poo/ sirungi poo – Haritaki pushpa – Rhus Succedanea – 0.5 % Vaalmilagu – Kankola – Piper cubeba – 0.5 % – It is a herb mentioned in the ayurvedic pharmacopoeia for the treatment of cough, swelling, dysmenorrhea, erectile dysfunction and indigestion. 
Kaattaaththipoo – Dhatakipushpa – Woodfordia fruticosa – 0.5 %
Kiraambu – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 0.5 %
Adhimadhuram – Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 0.5 % – Heals ulcers, wounds and swelling / inflammation associated with wounds.
Elam – Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 0.5 %
Karkandu – Khanda sarkara – Saccharum officinarum – 1.5 %

Indication of Vallarai Ghritham:

  • Megam
  • Piramiyam
  • Vedi viranam [deep ulcers]
  • Granthi [landular enlargements] etc.
  • It cools the whole body completely.
  • Useful in mega soolai
  • Kuttam [leprosy/skin diseases]
  • Sori [pruritus/itching]
  • Sirangu [scabies]
  • Singuvai noi [diseases of the tongue]
  • Yoni puttru [vaginal cancer]
  • Pungal [ulcer]
  • Puraiyodum pungal [sloughy & septic ulcers]
  • Neerarugal [anurea/dropping of urine/stranguary]
  • Neerarugal [burning of urine/stranguary]
  • Kurierivu [burning sensation in phallus/penis].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Vallarai Ghritham:
5 – 10 ml with lukewarm water twice daily before food.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
