Ingredients of Earanda Sukumaaram:
Each 10 ml is prepared out of:
Punarnava – Boerhavia diffusa – 10.417 g – It is well known for its diuretic and swelling reducing activities.
Bilwa – Bael – Aegle marmelos – 1.042 g
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum – 1.042 g – It is one among Dashamoola, used in fever, cough, diarrhea etc.
Gambhari – Gmelina arborea – 1.042 g
Patala – Stereospermum suaveolens – 1.042 g – Used in treating hemorrhoids and constipation.
Agnimantha – Clerodendrum phlomidis – 1.042 g
Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum – 1.042 g
Prishniparni – Uraria picta – 1.042 g
Brihati – Solanum indicum – 1.042 g – It has carminative, digestive properties useful in anorexia, indigestion, abdominal colic etc.
Brihati Bheda – 1.042 g
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 1.042 g – It is used for body building, to relieve diseases of uro-genital system and as an aphrodisiac.
Payasya – Impomoea paniculata – 1.042 g
Ashwagandha – Indian ginseng – Withania somnifera – 1.042 g
Eranda – Castor – Ricinus Communis – 1.042 g – useful in bloating, abdominal colic, spleen disorders, abdominal tumor etc.
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus – 1.042 g
Darbha moola – Imperata cylindrica – 1.042 g
Kusha moola – Desmostachya bipinnata – 1.042 g – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of diarrhea, skin diseases, renal calculi, dysmenorrhea and improving breast milk during lactation.
Shara moola – Saccharum munja – 1.042 g
Kasha moola – Saccharum spontaneum – 1.042 g
Ikshu moola – Sugarcane root – Saccharum officinarum – 1.042 g
Potagala moola – Typha elephantina – 1.042 g
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 0.208 g
Pippali moola – Long pepper root – Piper longum – 0.208 g – It is hot, useful in asthma, indigestion, bloating, anorexia etc.
Yashti – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 0.208 g
Madhuka – Madhuca longifolia – 0.208 g – It is described in Ayurveda for treating skin diseases, nerve disorders, cough, burning sensation and diarrhea.
Mrudweeka – Grapes – Vitis vinifera – 0.208 g
Yavani – Carom seed – Carum copticum – 0.208 g – It improves digestion strength, taste and useful in abdominal colic pain, bloating, worm infestation, abdominal tumor etc.
Nagara – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 0.208 g
Guda – Jaggery – 3.125 g
Earanda Thaila – Castor oil – 10.000 ml – It is excellent in relieving Vata and Kapha disorders.
Indications
Indications of Earanda Sukumaaram:
Effective for virechana (purgation) or malaanulomanam (laxation) in constipation.
Udara roga – disorders of abdomen
Gulma – abdominal tumor, flatulence
Pleeha – disorders of spleen
Vidradhi – abscess
Shopha – edema
Yoni shula – pain in female genitalia
Arsha – piles
Vruddhi – hernia
Dose, duration of use
Dose:
One tablespoonful at bed time, along with warm milk.
Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can
this product be applied after steam therapy?
No.
Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic
principles.
