TRP Liniment Benefits, How To Use, Ingredients, Side Effects

TRP Liniment is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Meditek India. It is used in the treatment of Rheumatic Joint Pains.

TRP Liniment Ingredients

Each of 50 ml and 100 ml contains – oil prepared from 
Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata – It relieves swelling and pain.
Devadaru – Cedrus  deodara – It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory activities and useful in arthritis.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Eranda – Castor – Ricinus communis – It helps to relieve pain and stiffness in joints. Hence, it is often used in case of rheumatoid arthritis.
Vacha – Acorus calamus – 40%
Shallaki – Boswellia serrata oil – 5% – It is a famous herb used mainly for the treatment of osteo-arthritis and muscular pains. 
Capsicum – Capsicum annuum – 0.5 %
Oil of wintergreen – 30% – Used for muscle and joint discomfort, arthritis, edema, headache, rheumatism, tendinitis, cramps, inflammation.
Eucalyptus oil – Eucalyptus globulus – 24.5%

Indications

Rheumatic joint pains,
back ache, sprains,
stiff neck and muscle cramps

Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,  
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain

Method of use

Apply 5 – 10 drops on the affected area with gentle massage for a few minute, 2 or 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

Presentation: 50 ml and 100 ml bottle.

TRP Liniment Side effects

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
