Surakta Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Baidyanath Pharma Private Limited. It is used in the treatment of Scabies.

Surakta Syrup Ingredients


Sariva – Sarsaparilla – Ananta moola – Hemidesmus indicus – Useful in skin diseases and it has anti-microbial activities.
Ashoka twak – Bark of Saraca indica – Improves skin complexion, relieves burning sensation.
Sonamukhi – Indian senna – Cassia angustifolia – It is mainly used as blood purifier.
Aragvadha – Cassia fistula – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula
Nishota – Trivrit – Operculina turpethum
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – It is a well known immuno-modulator herb used in the correction of auto-immunity.
Kiratatikta – Gentiana chirata – Balances Kapha and Pitta doshas and useful in skin diseases.
Neem Bark – Nimba twak – Azadirachta indica – It has anti-septic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Chopacheeni – Smilax glabra – It has anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory activities and useful in skin diseases.
Mundi – Sphaeranthus indicus 
Manjishta – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – It is an well known blood detoxifying herb useful in skin diseases.
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – It has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities.
Neelkanthi – Coracias benghalensis
Khadira twak – Acacia catechu bark – It is a very famous skin benefiting Ayurvedic herb. 
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – It has anti-septic, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Indications

Scabies,
Boiles,
Acne & other skin diseases.

Dosage

1 to 2 tsp twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Surakta Syrup Side effects


There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.

  1. Suffering from psoriasis and using Surakta syrup for the last 2 months along with Khadirarista and Gandhaka Rasayan tablets of Baidyanath. Results seen to some extent only. Doubt is it works out or not?
