Arthorub Liniment is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by
AVN Ayurveda Formulations Pvt. Ltd. It is used in the treatment of
Arthritis, Sprain etc.
Arthorub Liniment Indications
Stiff and Swollen,
Arthritis, Sprain,
blunt injuries, sports injuries,
musculo-skeletal edema and pain of varied etiology.
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain
Direction of use
Apply to the affected parts liberally and massage gently into the skin.
Repeat as often as required.
Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Kashmari – Beech Wood – Gambari – Gmelina arborea – It’s root reduces pain, swelling etc.
Patala – Stereospermum suaveolens D.S – It has anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulatory activities.
Agnimantha – Clerodendrum phlomidis
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum – It has anti-arthritis and immuno-modulatory action.
Vilwa / Bilwa – Bael – Aegle marmelos
Brihati – Poison Berry – Solanum indicum – It has anti-inflammatory action.
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum
Prasniparni – Hedysarum pictum
Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris
Sahacara – Barlaria prionitis
Bala – Country Mallow – Sida cordifolia – It improve strength of bones, muscles and joints.
Manjistha – Indian Madder – Rubia cardifolia
Sariva – Indian Sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus R.Br
Juice of Tamarind – Chincha – Tamarindus indica
Paste of Rasna – Alpinia galanga – It has anti-inflammatory action.
Methika – Fenugreek – Trigonella foenum graecum.
Satapuspa – Catharanthus roseus.
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera
Kumara – Ipomoea batatas
Ginger – Sunthi – Zingiber officinale
Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica
Medicated oil – 65%
oil of wintergreen – 15%
Eucalyptus oil – 10%
Camphor – 5%
Pudina phool extract – 4.50%
Lemon grass oil – 0.50%
Arthorub Liniment Side effects
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can
this product be applied after steam therapy?
No.
Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic
principles.
