Paityantaka Rasa Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Paityantaka Rasa is a classical Ayurveda herbo-mineral medicine. It is used in the treatment of loss of appetite, vomiting, delusion.

Indication of Paityantak Ras

Agnimandya [loss of appetite]
Chardi [vomiting]
Bhrama [delusion]

Dosage

250 – 500 mg twice or thrice daily. Or as directed by the physician.

With Other Medicines

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Hingula – Cinnabar – It improves digestion strength and useful in the treatment of nausea.
Sarkara – Sugar – Saccharum officinarum
Nimbu satva – Lemon – Citrus aurantifolia – It helps to relieve excessive accumulation of Kapha in stomach and increases digestion power. Saindhava lavana – Rock salt – It helps to relieve chest congestion due to sputum accumulation. It improves taste and digestion strength.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – It is a appetizer and improves digestion strength.
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum – It is very good in treating digestive tract disorders.
Nimbuka rasa – Lemon juice – Citrus aurantifolia

Side effects of Paityanthaka Rasa

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine. Should be taken under strict medical supervision.
