Liv Compound Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Alarsin Pharmaceuticals. It is mainly used to treat of alcoholic hepatitis and liver dysfunction.
Uses and dose
Liv Compound Tablet Indications:
alcoholic hepatitis, loss of appetite, jaundice and infantile liver disorders, early cirrhosis of liver, prophylaxis against drug induced hepatotoxicity, liver dysfunctions.
Dosage: 2 tablets twice or thrice a day for 4-6 weeks.
Then 1 tablet twice or thrice a day for 2-3 months
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
Duration
How long to take?
This medicine can be taken for a period of 6 – 8 weeks as per doctors advice. After that time, usually the dose is gradually reduced and the medicine is stopped in next 6 weeks of time.

Bhango – Eclipta Alba – 80 mg – Widely used in hair fall treatment, liver disorders, skin diseases etc.
Bhui amla – Phyllanthus niruri – 60 mg – It is used for the treatment of fever, inflammation of spleen and liver, fractures, fever, jaundice and skin diseases.
Saptarnga – Casearia esulana – 40 mg
Pitapapra – Fumaria parviflora – 40 mg – It is herb of choice in liver disorders, relieves fever, jaundice, act as immuno modulator.
Sarpankamul – Tephorosia purpurea – 40 mg
Katuka – Picrorhiza kurroa – 30 mg – It normalizes liver enzymes, used in jaundice, fever, hepatitis, improves digestion.
Punarnava – Boerhaavia diffusa – 30 mg
Dudhal – Taraxacum officinale – 20 mg
Daruhaldi – Berberis aristata – 20 mg
Kumara – Aloe indica – 10 mg
Kakmachi – Solanum nigrum -10 mg
Kasni – Cichorium Endivia -10
Jhau – Tamarix gallica – 10 mg
Galo – Tinospora cordifolia – 10 mg

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It is usually prescribed in a lower dose during lactation and in children.
Consult your doctor for its usage during pregnancy.
