Bonfit Capsule: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Bonfit Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Ayulabs. It is an excellent source of natural calcium with Guggulu, useful in quick fracture healing and strengthening bones.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Bonft Capsule:
Each 500 mg contains –
Abha guggulu – 120 mg – It reunites fractured bones. It is analgesic and anti-inflammatory.
Laxadi guggulu – 60 mg – It makes bone and body stronger and is useful in injury and fracture. It is also used in rheumatoid arthritis. Lakshadi Guggul is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form. This tablet has Guggulu (commiphora mukul) as its base.It is widely used in the Ayurvedic treatment for of bone related diseases and fracture healing.
Madhumalini vasantha – 50 mg – It improves appetite, hormone secretion and digestion in all age groups. It is drug of choice in rickets and osteoporosis of menopausal women.
Kaishora guggulu – 50 mg – Useful in all types of arthritic pain, drug of choice in wound healing and used in osteoporosis. It is useful in acidity also.
Kukkutanda twak bhasma – 50 mg – This is useful in calcium deficiency, as such it is used in osteoporosis. It is used to correct hormonal imbalance in post-menopausal osteoporosis in women. This is also useful in leucorrhoea due to calcium deficiency. It improves elasticity of arterioles and corrects anemia.
Shankha bhasma – 30 mg – This provides abundant calcium in natural form. It increases osteogenesis and used in osteoporosis. Is useful in acidity also.
Asthishrinkala [Cissus quadrangularis] – 20 mg – Powdered roots are useful especially in fractures with the same effect as external plasters.
Arjuna [Terminalia arjuna] – 20 mg – It contains as much as 25 % of calcium which helps in calcification of fractured bones. It contains phytosterol which help in rejoining of fracture and astringent action of Arjuna potentiates it.
Spirulina [Spirulina platensis] – 20 mg – It improves the calcium content of bones and helps in callous formation because of phosphorus and essential amino acids; besides it contains antioxidants like- vitamin C, beta carotene, zinc, vitamin A, E and selenium. It is a good source of GLA [gamma linolenic acid] and natural elemental iron in addition to vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 which delay sign of ageing.
Pushpadhanva rasa – 10 mg – This is used in osteoporosis, osteomalacia and in other weakness of bones specially the bones of pelvis which effect walking. It is acting like a stimulant for all vital organs of body.

Indication of Bonfit Capsule:
Osteoporosis
Osteomalacia
Fractures
Gluco-corticoid induced osteoporosis
Low back pain
Rheumatoid arthritis
Osteoarthritis
Bone TB.

Dose, duration of use

Dosage of Bonfit Capsule:
1-2 capsules a day after meals, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 2 – 3 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Side effects of Bonfit Capsule:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Over-dosage may cause gastritis, heart burn symptoms in people with sensitive stomach.
This product should be strictly taken under medical supervision.
Take this medicine only in the prescribed dose for the prescribed period of time.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
