Keshyam Oil is used for hair care. It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal.
Uses
Uses of Keshyam Oil:
It is an ideal herbal combination having follicle stimulating and hair growth promoting activity.
The herbal combination increases the number of hair follicles and decreases the time taken for initiation and completion of hair growth.
The antioxidants in the formulation help in controlling premature greying of hair.
The alkaloid in Brahmi enhances protein kinase activity and the tannins, vitamin C, minerals in Amalaki provides nutrition, conditioning, darkening of hair.

Ingredients of Keshyam Oil:
Svetakutaja (Wrightia tinctoria)- leaf- 0.500 g
Kaidarya (Murraya koenigii)- leaf- 0.400 g
Bhringaraja (Eclipta alba)- whole plant- 0.300 g
Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)- stem- 0.300 g
Amalaki (Embelica officinale)- fruit- 0.300 g
Nimba (Azadirachta indica)- leaf- 0.300 g
Brahmi (Bacopa monneiri)- whole plant- 0.300 g
Yasti (Glycyrrhiza glabra)- root- 0.100 g
Kera taila (Coconut oil)- as it is- 10.00 ml
Karpoora (Cinnamomum camphora)- as it is- 0.100 g
Direction for use
Direction for use of Keshyam Oil:
Apply the oil over the head sufficiently and massage scalp, before or after bath. Or as directed by the physician.
How to wash off the
hair oil?
Wait for at least 30 minutes
before washing hair. Longer the delay, better (except for very oily hairs). It
is best to use herbal hair wash powders to wash off the hair oil. One or two
rounds of wash with hair wash powder will get rid off oil from hair. It is very
fine, even if some amount of oiliness remains on the hair.
Traditional treatises mention cold water to wash hair and face. (Reference:
Ashtanga Sangraha, Sutrasthana, Dinacharya chapter). But to wash oily hair,
lukewarm water can also be used. Avoid very hot water for hair wash.

Side effects of Keshyam Oil:
There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.

During pregnancy, lactation
If
you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can
continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy,
better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare
cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult
your doctor for the right advice.
Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
Can this be applied if I have cold and cough?
Yes.

Please try with Neelibhringadi taila. If the cause is hereditary, then chances of hair recovery is minimal.

SIr, my 6yrs old daughter’s hair still not grown completely as her some bald patch is still visible especially on crown area. Coconut oil does not suits her, hair fall starts immediately after 4-5 use. Pls suggest an oil dat I can use for her on daily basis & which can solve all problems.

Sir i have been using keshyam oil daily.Is it sure to wash out oil from hair after half n hour of its use .i have premature greying so i like to keep oil in my head .so that hair will be black.so it will be good or bad for hair .is there any side affect?
If you are applying only a few drops of the oil, then no problem in keeping it on without washing it.
