Hello Dr. Hebbar,
Thank you for the post.
I’ve tasted the leyham today from Kottakal. The vipaaka is salty and left me with a sfunny /stingy taste on my tongue. I don’t really think I’ve tasted anything Sweet like you’ve mentioned. Please let me know if this is normal 🙂
Hi, stingy taste could be due to long pepper and ginger. I am not sure about the salty taste.
Drakshadi Rasayanam from IMPCOPS tastes sweet as you have mentioned, Kottakkals does
leave a stingy sensation on the tongue
Good metabolism once in place takes care of many contingent processes and sets the bio mechanical machinery called body in perfect tune and shape. (Liver is the power house and efficiently burns the fuel)
Reformed /active metabolism can be helpful in weight management and probably even carcinomas of various kinds. piper longum and ginger are natures exceptional gift ..among other things…

Thanks for the good article on Drakshadi Lehiyam and Kashayam.
However the contra indications on the use for Diabetic patients , as observed , appear to be contradictory.
One Sentence says this can be used by diabetic patients and another statement says the opposite. I request you to review the text.
Regards,
I have mentioned drakshadi kashayam for diabetes, not the lehyam.
