Siledin Tablets is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Alarsin Pharmaceuticals, Mumbai, used in treatment of stress, strain, anxiety, etc 

Uses

Siledin Tablets uses:
As per the manufacturer’s claims, -tt is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Mild to moderate hypertension, stress, strain, anxiety, headache, sleeplessness, mdp and such other neuro-psychiactric conditions.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta.

Dose and duration of use

Siledin Tablets Dose:
Adults – 1 tablet – two times a day, or as directed by physician.

How long to take?
It can be taken for up to 1 month, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Siledin Tablets Ingredients:
Each capsule contains
Sarpagandha – Rauvolfia serpentina – 210 mg
Vacha – Acorus calamus – 18 mg
Shankhapushpi – Clitorea ternatea – 70 mg
Bhringaraja – Eclipta alba – 52 mg
Brahmi – Thyme leaved gratiola (whole plant) – Bacopa monnieri – 35 mg
Jeevanti – Leptadenia reticulata – 17.5 mg
Kamboji – 17.5 mg
Excipients – 2.5 mg

Diet To Follow

Have more of Ghee, coconut oil, Sunflower seed, almond, taro root, flaxseed oil, soyabean, pistachio,
Broccoli, carrots, chard, nuts, papaya, pumpkin, red peppers
Flax seeds, walnut, tofu, brussel sprout, cauliflower, winter squash, fish oil, egg oil, krill oil, chia seeds, camelia are fine to take.

Diet To avoid:
There are no diet restrictions. Please avoid all types of junk foods, excessive non veg foods, try to avoid or limit alcohol and smoking. Avoid aerated drinks.
Please prefer homemade food wherever possible.

Side effects and precautions

Side effects and precautions: 
It is better to take this medicine under medical supervision.
If you are already on treatment for hypertension, then the dose of this tablet has to be monitored continuously by doctor.
Children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Over-dosage or taking medicine for a longer period of time, than prescribed may cause excessive sleepiness, and mild neurological symptoms.
Withdrawal symptoms as complained by my patient – shivering of hands, uneasiness.
Store in a cool dry place.
Take this medicine only till the prescribed time, in the prescribed dose only.

Habit forming

Is this medicine habit forming? Does it create dependence? Can we stop it after a few months of usage?
This medicine is not habit forming. After using for the prescribed period, your doctor would gradually decrease the dose and eventually stop it. Follow your doctor’s instructions for gradual decrease of dose and stopping. Usually it does not cause any ill effects.
